About Lyndsay Calkin
As Manager of Conferences and Events at RTI International, I lead the planning and execution of a wide range of internal, corporate, and external events, working across the organization to bring people together through thoughtful, high-impact experiences. Now part of the Marketing team, I partner with stakeholders across departments to align events with broader strategic goals and ensure consistency in brand, messaging, and execution.In my role, I oversee end-to-end event strategy and delivery, from concept through execution, across both onsite and external programs. I serve as the primary lead for all trade shows, managing everything from contract negotiation and booth design to vendor coordination, logistics, AV, shipping, and lead capture. I also support corporate and internal events across a secure campus environment, coordinating with cross-functional teams including facilities, security, and AV to deliver seamless experiences at scale.With more than 20 years of experience in the events industry and nearly a decade at RTI, I’ve planned and executed events for audiences ranging from executive leadership to high-profile external stakeholders, including the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Senate, First Lady Laura Bush, and the Carolina Panthers. These experiences have shaped my ability to operate in complex, high-stakes environments where attention to detail, adaptability, and strong cross-functional collaboration are critical.I’m passionate about creating experiences that are not only well-executed, but meaningful. Events that connect people, elevate ideas, and leave a lasting impression. I thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and enjoy balancing creativity with operational precision to deliver events that teams are proud of and audiences remember.
