SOLCIS Ltd provides a consultancy service with staff who have over 20 years experience in the development of some of the largest SISS systems in the UK.The company was formed December 2008 to bring experience & knowledge from the contractors to the client in order to offer advice and guidance in the procurement and delivery of strategic developments with respect to retail systems.Our staff have been responsible for the design and development of systems covering approximately 500 stations within UK.With a wide range of technical expertise we are able to offer an end to end service in the procurement, design, installation and maintenance of large technolgy projectsWe offer an easy alternative for the aquisition of specialist knowledge and pride ourselves on our professional service and ability to deliver an early R.O.I.Contract Undertakings- Consultancy on behalf of Senior rail executives (PISG) including a feasibility study, recommendations & cost benefit analysis pertaining to changing the existing national information architecture to provide better operational support for the passenger at reduced operating cost- Consultancy Southeastern Trains for systems integration of the HS1 rail services running from the classic line into St Pancras London/Stratford/Ebbsfleet- Consultancy AECOM/DfT researching “end to end” Journey Planning and international standards. Research culminated in a report recommending strategic change for the industry- Consultancy ATOC - National Darwin project- Consultancy London Overground Rail Operations Limited (LOROL) to assist in the delivery and management of multiple contractor interfaces in the delivery of a £6.4 million CCTV/PA/CIS/PHP. Task involved a considerable amount of process engineering in order to manage the design delivery and acceptance process- Consultancy LOROL Customer Service Improvement Programme- Consultancy Southeastern CIS procurement specification- Consultancy Arriva - FGW franchise bid.

I have a vast depth of experience in the design and development of systems in the transport market having spent the last 30+ years deploying cutting edge rail systems in the UK.Through practical experience I have gained an insight into the shortcomings of business information architectures and the need for interoperability to drive performance and economic success.I excel in modern business challenges that can be resolved through exploitation of emerging technologies coupled with an insight of stakeholder requirements, business standards and acumen. Recent undertakings involve solutions that have driven client savings from £1m p.a. to £100m+ p.a.Consultancy and business development services have primarily been deployed in the transportation sector, providing strategic guidance, innovative solutions and supporting financial models in support of rail franchise bids. This experience and service could equally be applied to other market sector challenges. Current work includes the analysis of ACM for a large infrastructure provider and identifying how emerging IoT technologies can drive performance improvements.
