About Lyndon Kennedy
I am interested in applications of machine learning towards real-world problems. In my research, I investigate how multimodal information sources can be modeled in order to understand higher-level phenomena in individuals, groups, media objects themselves, and the world at large. Using a range of techniques derived from deep learning, computer vision, audio and text analysis, and information retrieval, I develop systems for mining large-scale media collections to power user modeling, prediction, recommendation, and search.
