About Bob Beatty
I began my nonprofit career at Valencia Community College in 1996. In I began my career in the history and museum profession. Since that time, I have dedicated my professional life to the principle of serving communities/publics through these entities, specifically through preservation of and access to history. I believe strongly that stakeholders—our neighbors, communities, visitors, researchers, volunteers, scholars, students, teachers, funders, legislators, and policy makers—form the basis of our work. They are the reason our institutions exist in the first place and we should strive to serve them first and foremost. This people-focused mission is my true passion and is evidenced in the results I’ve achieved in leadership roles at the national and local level.
