ABOUT ADAM LYNCH

I am the Senior Product Manager for Traffic Engineering and Technical Product Manager for Vissim/Vistro at PTV Group with 19 years of industry experience as a Traffic Engineer/Planner in Ohio and Colorado. I\'ve used PTV Vistro on both small and large mixed-use development projects and Traffic Impact Studies as a consultant - and on Traffic Operations projects ranging from a few intersections to large CBD areas. As Product Manager at PTV, I use my extensive real-world experience to lead the development of Vistro and Visum Publisher. I’m enjoying helping others learn more about my products with the PTV Video Training Web Series on YouTube and tips and tricks blogs. Also, I am an avid user of PTV Vissim and lead the development of features. My consulting modeling highlights have included: transit evaluations in Rocky Mountain and Zion National Parks; the Cincinnati and Omaha Streetcars; waste transfer station studies; numerous innovative interchange and highway designs; and VE studies. Design experience includes signing/striping, traffic signal design, and MOT design efforts on large Design-Build projects in Texas and Colorado. Also, I\'ve completed origin-destination studies utilizing StreetLight Data\'s InSight and Bluetooth sensors. I\'ve provided safety analyses for pedestrian/bicycle and vehicular modes in Ohio, Kentucky, Colorado, and Nevada (Las Vegas). Projects include rural/urban intersections, corridors, and macro-level safety enhancement prioritization studies for counties and MPOs. I also have significant experience in developing custom safety studies processes, communicating results to stakeholders, and conducting field inventories. In Las Vegas, Nevada, I developed criteria to identify/analyze pedestrian and bicycle hotspots for the entire MPO area. With GIS filtering, top crash hotspots were identified based on crash severity, frequency, and “cost” plus frequency. On the CDOT US 36 Managed Lanes Design-Build project, between Denver, CO, and Boulder, I was the project manager and engineer on record for “on-call” maintenance of traffic plans. These plans were requested by the contractor to address emergency temporary traffic control or closures during construction.
