ABOUT LYN WENZEL

Lyn is an experienced Landscape Designer and Project Manager with a demonstrated history of working on public and private landscape architecture and urban design projects throughout the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic Regions. After a decade living and working in Washington, DC and Brooklyn, NY, Lyn relocated to Louisville, Kentucky where she was born and raised. She is a strong advocate of inclusive public space design, striving to make playful, beautiful public places that highlight the intersection of urbanity and natural systems. Her project experience is wide ranging and includes: site design for public schools, libraries, multi-family housing and mixed-use developments throughout the DC area and more recently has focused on parks & rec master planning, playscape design, campus planning and ecological planting design for projects and communities throughout Kentucky and Southern Ohio. Lyn is passionate about the evolution of planting design and has been involved in research and large transportation infrastructure projects that underscore the role that designed landscapes play in regional ecosystems. She has also been involved in various temporary public installations that explore issues of equity, ecology and public space. Graduate of the University of Virginia (MLA) and Washington University in St. Louis (BS in Architecture).
