In 1992 Lyn and her late husband, Paul Morrison, were bored on a flight to South America and so schemed out their ideal travel magazine on the back of a sickbag. The idea stuck and, in 1993, they launched Wanderlust magazine.Wanderlust is now the UK’s leading travel magazine and travel media brand, with numerous awards under its belt. Brand extensions include the Wanderlust World Guide Awards, Wanderlust Visions and Wanderlust Off the Page podcast. Paul Morrison died in 2004 and Lyn added the role of CEO to editor-in-chief. In 2021, Wanderlust passed into new ownership and is part of Wanderlust Travel Media. Lyn is now Founding Editor and one of the senior team. A fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, Lyn is regularly consulted on travel-related issues, especially regarding sustainable tourism. She is honorary secretary of LATA (the Latin American Travel Association), is a trustee of the LATA Foundation and advisor to the Derek Moore Foundation. She is a judge of competitions and awards and in demand as a speaker, moderator, presenter and host. The Times named Lyn as one of the “50 Most Influential People in Travel.” Industry awards include Outstanding Contribution Award in the British Travel Press Awards; one of the \'Top 60 Most Influential Women in Travel in the Last 60 Years\' by the AWTE; Outstanding Contribution in the inaugural Travmedia awards; Positive Impact Outstanding Contribution award in the inaugural Inspire Global Media Awards. Lyn has won multiple awards for her travel writing, is author of Wanderlust How to Travel Solo, and guests on TV and radio as a travel expert.Lyn\'s travels usually involve taking the road less travelled. She has a passion for wildlife and wild places, emerging destinations and the little-known corners of more popular places. Lyn strongly believes in tourism as a force for good, benefiting local communities, wildlife and the natural world.
