About Lyn Graves
Always motivated to “serve the least of these” with my time, talents, and treasure, my work as an optometrist and entrepreneur has taken me to some fascinating places. I have provided eye care in some of the most difficult places to serve in both the United States as well as abroad. From psych wards and dementia units across the US to far flung places like Haiti, Guinea Bissau, and Nicaragua, it has been truly a privilege to utilize my skills as an optometrist and entrepreneur to serve these remarkable patients. Nothing has been as profoundly rewarding as my work with Aqua Africa. Aqua Africa serves communities that have never before had access to clean water.

I serve as Chairman of the Board for an NGO called Aqua Africa. It drills water wells in South Sudan. Shortly before the onset of the Pandemic, I traveled to Juba, Yambio, and Nzara, South Sudan. The purpose of this trip was to inspect our wells that provide fresh water to thousands of people who had previously gotten their water from nearby streams. In all, tens of thousands of South Sudanese residents obtain their daily water from wells drilled by Aqua Africa.
