ABOUT LYLE MURPHY
Red Seal Electrician 16\'. Back at SAIT majoring in Human Resourse Management. My electrcial career took me on a journey through a wide range of businesses, including in residential, commerical and industrial settings. Notably, a good portion was done in hospital renovations. Codes within hospitals have its own section (12) legislated by the CEC (Canadian Electrcial Code). I was able to part-take in renovations and maintenance with the Power Plant at the Foothills Hospital, Ballast changes at the Helicopter Pad on top of the McCaig tower, to repairs done in the morgue.Although much of the construction industry is legislated, that does not always apply to what is actually being done in the field. Prevention may be quoted the best practice, yet actions are louder than words. Safety is becoming an emerging business expense, topic, along with business strategy. faults and incidents typically can be prevented, sadly operation finances and quantitative results over-power human life.I talk to a CEO in a company, no different than I speak to a Janitor. I may talk business, with the CEO. Whereas the janitor, we may talk about the type of flowers, he gets his wife on pay-day. This truly represents my charisma, dedication, to wanting the best success for others. In the Human Resource classrooms, I always quote and mention \" Its not about making the job easier for them. They will think you are trying to create an AI version, to see them out the door. HR mentality today needs to change to \"What can I do.to make you, the best at your job! what can I do to make you the Micheal Jordon of your job, the Tom Brady of your job\"\"Integrating both my trade experience, along with my Human Resource education, creates a unique skill set. Where discrimination between Blue- and White- Collar individuals exists for both sides. I believe as a professional goal, I can and will be a factor of bridging that gap. At times a noise barrier between office and ooperations staff cause a literal and metahporiocal wall. There are strategies, with individuals as my self, who can guide businesses, in an effective manner with both types of worlds. The form of discrimination between Blue- and White- Collar people is a very undervalued topic. At times bridging that gap, can and will be the easiest form of creating diversity internally. Social Capital is vital to a business, where I can help prove quantitatively why!Winner of the Joyce Family Foundation Centennial Scholarhsip Award (Sept 22\')Best Team for ORGB, A class between SAIT and HCT (United Arab Emirates)Best Student for ORGB
