About Lyla Edwards

I am a reliable, independent, motivated and organized student looking to gain experience within the Public Relations industry. I am currently a Senior majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Business. Most recently, I began work as a Public Relations Intern through Brilliant PR & Marketing. I\'ve secured immersive, hands-on experience as I work towards specific client goals through media lists, influencer research, and generating other strategic campaign materials. Previously, I gained experiences as the Marketing Intern, and later, Interim Director of Marketing at a local business, Botanic. At Botanic, I\'ve collaborated with the Director of Marketing, Head of Development, and other leadership team members to effectively promote upcoming events, strategize social media content, and design website pages to best inform our audience on everything Botanic has to offer. Throughout the last several years at Auburn, I have gained hands on experience through involvement in The Oaks Agency, a student-run PR firm on campus. Within the agency I have served on the Photography, Design and Account Management Committees, which lead to working with 6 different clients and account groups as well. Currently, I am serving as the Director of Account Management on the 2024 Executive Board. On the Executive Board, I\'ve been able to develop my skills in teamwork, leadership and management while maintaining and enhancing the prestige and credibility of the agency.
