ABOUT MARIA LYKOUDI

My curiosity about the world and its hidden stories has always driven me—whether uncovering the past through archaeology or uncovering patterns from modern data. I find inspiration in interdisciplinary thinkers like Refik Anadol, who transforms raw data into breathtaking visuals, demonstrating how creativity and analytics can work together to tell compelling stories. This curiosity initially led me to study Scientific Archaeology & Liberal Arts. Archaeology, as an inherently interdisciplinary discipline, involves collaboration with individuals from various backgrounds to provide an objective reconstruction of the past. Success in this field is only attainable when participants embrace the philosophy of \'Teamwork makes the Dream work.\' As I progressed, I felt a strong desire to grow personally and professionally and to leverage my background in a new direction. My studies in archaeology equipped me with- Structured thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities - Data-driven decision-making skills and a commitment to fairness in avoiding biases - In-depth knowledge of statistics and proficient presentation skills - Experience with tools like Excel and Access, which provided a solid foundation in data handling and interpretation. With this foundation, I transitioned my career to Data Analytics, where I could analyze data, derive valuable insights, and make informed decisions that positively impact businesses. To achieve this, I embarked on a journey of continuous learning- Completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate on Coursera - Studied SQL courses on DataCamp and Python courses from the Analyst Builder Platform - Attended private training sessions with Alexandra Athanasakou, a seasoned Business Intelligence Developer- Began interning as a Subject Matter Expert on Power BI for Data Tutor GR, an online data analytics platform founded by my trainer. Recognizing the importance of integrating data insights with strategic business decisions, I enrolled in Chris Haroun\'s MBA program, enhancing my ability to interpret complex business questions and drive informed decision-making.
