Hello! My name is Lydia Owens and I am an aspiring public health professional with interests in biostatistics and epidemiology. I am currently a third-year student at UNC Chapel Hill and interested in applying to graduate schools in biostatistics and population health sciences in the next application cycle.My current research interests: infectious disease modeling, agent-based modeling, COVID-19, HIV, incarcerated and justice-involved population research and health interventionsI would love to learn more about: causal inference, Bayesian methodologies, time series analysis, global health, health policyI am looking for opportunities that would help me continue to build my skills in biostatistics, computational science, and creating socially-minded change.
