ABOUT LYDIA XIAO

My mission is to support organizations improve employee engagement, development, and retention. I have years of people management experience from an operational standpoint and have developed strong skills in building authentic relationships, planning + business strategy, and training. Areas of Expertise- Conflict Resolution: From resolving employee relations issues to deescalating irate customers, I have been recognized regionally for my calm, fair and effective approach to actively listening and finding a solution- Team Management: I have built, managed and coached a team of around 30 employees to support meeting objectives on time. I have delivered performance improvement plans, and I have created development groups to promote team engagement- Training and Development: I love 1-on-1 conversations as well as group facilitations. I pride myself in intentional listening and creating a safe space to have meaningful conversations in order to build deeper connections- Business Strategy: I have worked closely with upper management and presented business KPIs, while creating strategic approaches to improve performance.Fun facts about me:1. I grew up playing tennis competitively! It\'s instilled an athlete and learner\'s mindset in everything I do.2. A good amount of people cannot live without their morning coffee, but for me I enjoy a matcha latte every morning to get my day going!3. I am a (self-proclaimed) dog whisperer. Even the most anxious dogs, I find I am able to gain some trust in a short amount of time, and I always feel a sense of accomplishment.
