About Lauren Whiteman

I\'m a data-driven, results-oriented content designer, TEDx presenter, and published writer giving tech a human touch through storytelling. My work experience includes more than a decade of creating content experiences across multiple verticals, outlets, and industries in both UX design and Marketing (agency, brand-side, B2B, B2C, and D2C). I use compelling and strategic storytelling to facilitate exceptional customer experiences and improve internal processes. I\'ve worked on product innovation teams, customer lifecycle and demand generation campaigns, brand launches, and social media and influencer campaigns. I\'ve made products easier to use and content systems clear enough to scale. I\'ve also built corporate DEI strategies, led trainings, and presented research at conferences. And when possible, I write on some serious and not-so-serious topics related to culture and current events. Some highlights from my career include:• Developed a content strategy and assets that generated more than $74 million in one year for fiber internet initiatives in under-served areas.• Managing annual budget of $500k+ to produce and manage content creation through eBooks, whitepapers, blogs, infographics, guides, sales decks, podcasts, email nurtures, webinars, videos, and other digital assets to drive both thought leadership and demand. • Appointed to leadership roles in task forces and strategic initiatives to evaluate, revamp, build, and communicate more efficient and effective policy and processes to be adopted by Mitel’s Global Marketing Organization, channel partner community, and external vendors• Award-winning diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging champion, building DEI strategies, responses, and trainings for corporations, non-profits, colleges, and universities.Brands and organizations worked with include: AppFolio, The Big XII Conference on Black Student Government, BLK & Bold Coffee, Band of Vices Collective, Dallas College, The Daraja Collective, Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, Fire in Little Africa, Rotary International, SALA Series, The University of Oklahoma, Reebok, Dupree Miller & Associates, and the Biden/Harris 2020 Presidential Campaign.

Led a conversation analysis and designed prototype content for a customer experience that addressed churn in 40% of AT & T\'s fiber internet customers. The experience elevated cross-selling capabilities and is projected to save $12M annually.Developed the content strategy for a unified, modular, and scalable set of 21 assets that better position AT & T to win federal subsidies through the Broadband, Equity, Access & Deployment Program (BEAD). Teams implemented the assets in one week and secured more than $74.5M in BEAD funding within the first year.Developed feature descriptions and incorporated user testing feedback into the wireframes and landing pages for AT & T Satellite, which is projected to earn $163M in 5 years. AT & T Satellite has a total addressable market of 115M, including emergency services providers and 73M customers who engage in outdoor recreation.Elevated team practices and standards by creating a curriculum for integrating Jobs-to-be-Done and user enablement statements into design programs. The curriculum increased team efficiency in getting products through production and guides the development of about 600 user enablement statements each year.Utilized user research to design the content for an onboarding and activation experience for converged wireless and fiber internet customers to support AT & T\'s goal of increasing our converged base by 30% in 2025. The resulting target customer experience is seamless, effortless, and convenient for customers to complete either alone or with help from AT & T experts.Developed an information architecture model for AT & T executives that mapped out a future-state, end-to-end product vision for AT & T\'s converged product strategy. The model aligns with AT & T\'s overall product vision and maps out customer needs, relevant company initiatives, and key areas of opportunity.
