I’m Luz María Flores, a passionate advocate for equity, social justice, and community empowerment. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, I learned the value of resilience and the power of collective action to create meaningful change. My journey spans over a decade of grassroots organizing, policy advocacy, and community engagement. From co-founding initiatives that uplift system-impacted individuals to managing large-scale community relations projects, my work is rooted in a commitment to amplify marginalized voices and create pathways for opportunity. With a background in African American Studies and Public Affairs from UCLA, I’ve collaborated with organizations like Dignity and Power Now, Community Coalition, and the Think Watts Foundation, driving projects that foster inclusivity and uplift underserved communities. Whether strategizing advocacy campaigns, managing community relations, or leading field teams, I bring dedication, creativity, and a solutions-oriented mindset to every role. I’m proud to have received recognitions from institutions like the City of Los Angeles and the California State Assembly for my contributions.
