ABOUT LUXIKA ELLALAN

Highly motivated data privacy lawyer, qualified Aug 2021, and certified CIPP/E March 2023. Keen to grow within the data privacy field especially exploring data privacy issues within tech/media/entertainment/retail. When people usually ask me to speak about myself, I say it’s one of the most comfortable topics because I’ve known and understood the subject matter for over 20 years. So here’s the short version, and if you’re interested in knowing me more, let’s chat. I’m a motivated individual and enjoy challenging myself through a range of different avenues. Multi-tasking is something I enjoy, especially having qualified as a solicitor whilst studying part-time for my LPC and achieving distinction. I’m also a Bharathanatyam dancer, which has taken up some of my spare time for almost two decades with video shoots and performances. I used to run a cake business, Lush Cakes by Luxi (founded in 2014); completely self-taught, so if you want to talk about the organic growth of a business I have a fair bit to say. I’m also an avid supporter of sustainability, so in the rest of my spare time I seek to help the next generation by facilitating educated career choices. I’m a firm believer of ‘inspiring leadership’ to help make the smallest of changes and constantly seek ways to work on myself, my career and my skills. I want to use my strengths and build my weaknesses to make a change, a very positive one at that.
