   My position reports to the CEO and directs all marine operations activities and events. Director organizes, coordinates, and administers seasonal marine operations. As the Director I\'m responsible for day-to-day vessel operations of Vitus Marine. This includes the supervision of all marine related personnel. Operations Director hires, evaluates and discharges employees in accordance to company needs. Company assets are to be maintained and inventoried in accordance with best practices. Coordination with Regulatory and Training Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements is a key function of this position. Maintaining communication with the vessels and dispatch managers is essential. Ensuring all marine petroleum operations are executed in accordance with applicable laws and in a manner that satisfies USCG and other regulatory agencies. Develop, implement and maintain company policies and procedures in fuel/petroleum products procurement, transportation and distribution. Supervises and coordinates activities of company workers and subcontractors engaged in fuel/petroleum products handling, transfers, and transportation.
