ABOUT LURDES QUEIMADO
My research links the fields of environmental exposure, oncogenesis, and cancer therapy. Our interdisciplinary and multi-institutonal studies (e.g, R01CA242168) use cutting-edge technology and integrate basic science with patient care through clinical trials. I\'m the inventor of a unique DNA damage detection assay (q-PADDA) funded by NCI as an innovative molecular analysis technology (R33CA202898). My teaching and mentoring skills have been recognized with several awards, including those atributed by Residents and Medical Students.Expertise: Oncobiology, Tobacco products, DNA Repair, Cell Signaling, Inflammation, Tissue Banking, Coordination of Multidisciplinary Groups
