About Luqman Elbakri
I\'m an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley studying Business Administration. I\'m a proud Palestinian American who spent my formative years in Jordan witnessing firsthand the struggles of people who were displaced as a casualty of war. This instilled in me from a young age a strong sense of community and the desire to serve others. As a result, I have worked extensively in my community as a volunteer for nonprofit groups such as Support Life Foundation, in the Bay Area. Serving as a project manager and volunteer coordinator for its food distribution program, YANA (You Are Not Alone), I used my passion for service to help alleviate various forms of oppression and inequality at the community level.In the future, I plan to use the tools and education I gain from attending UC Berkeley Haas School of Business to give back to my community and continue to motivate others to create programs that maximize impact, minimize cost, and bring everyone together in support to lift up all members of society and ensure equal access to basic needs.
