I have always been a programmer that has tried to understand a little about everything. I ended up as a SQL DBA by necessity. I have grown into a DBA that still uses the programming skills that I have acquired over the years. I am a very fast learner and always looking to try new things. So, I am always rewriting a utility that I have previously written, to make it more dynamic, run faster and better. I have a thirst for knowledge and will ask one major question:\"Why?\" The need to know why is important to me. Because the better I understand something the better I can produce solutions.Specialties: Automation is one of biggest tools. I strive to be a proactive DBA. I am busy enough throughout the day without having to worry about repetitive tasks. I have written many Powershell scripts to take care of many of my daily tasks. It makes my life as well as my teams\' lives easier.
