I started playing basketball when I was five years old, unaware that my passion for the sport would ignite a curiosity in data science. In basketball, every shot you take results in immediate feedback. Nothing is more exhilarating when you\'re in a game, you take a shot that you\'ve been working on for months, and it hits the bottom of the net. I\'ve experienced the same excitement while working on projects using Excel and R at Claremont McKenna College and as the Assistant Video and Analytics Coordinator for the TCU men\'s basketball team. The moment you execute a command, you receive instant feedback. If the code runs perfectly, it is just like making that shot. If I get an error message, I adapt. I find the process to be invigorating! I\'ve continued to hone my skills in Python, Tableau, and SQL and am always looking to learn new things. Working with TCU sharpened my attention to detail. Getting to be in charge of on-court workouts, I analyzed each player\'s mechanics, making minor adjustments along the way. I quickly learned that even altering the smallest details can translate into game-winning differences. The team was last in conference three-point shooting before I arrived and was first this year. I also demonstrated adaptability and resilience in this role. I was \"thrown into the fire\" and had to survive in a fast-paced environment. I learned new programs like Hudl Sportscode on the fly, worked with operations, researched recruits, and grew as a leader and a coach.
