As the Executive Director of External Affairs for the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC), I lead the Commission’s External Affairs Division, directing the Commission’s legislative, media, and stakeholderengagement strategies. I oversee the Information Technology team, as well as the Consumer AffairsDivision, which provides dispute resolution services to customers and utilities. Additionally, I help manage the disbursement strategy of the Underground Plant Protection Account fund, which is intended to raise awareness of Indiana’s 811 Law and promote safe digging practices.I facilitate communication between the IURC, members of the Indiana General Assembly, industry stakeholders, and am passionate about providing policymakers with the data and guidance they need to make informed decisions about utility regulation in our state.My role as the primary liaison between the IURC and the General Assembly allows me to work closely with legislators and provide them with neutral policy advice on a wide range of utility-related topics, helping give them the information they need to most informed public policy decisions.
