   As a Machine Learning Engineer at Artisight, I drive AI initiatives that bring real-world impact by delivering computer vision, deep learning, and predictive modeling solutions. I built and maintained production pipelines to track inventory using RFID on Databricks with Apache Spark, monitoring millions of packets per minute across dozens of facilities with real-time alerts through OpsGenie. To ensure reliability at scale, I led rigorous performance testing from 1x to 300x load, benchmarking pandas versus Spark, instrumenting ETL pipeline stages, and projecting resource needs for a nationwide rollout.On the research side, I led the design and execution of a project replicating and extending state-of-the-art work on predicting patient outcomes such as length of stay and readmission risk. This involved establishing GPU clusters on AWS for distributed training and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) on hundreds of millions of clinical notes. The resulting models achieved predictive accuracies comparable to leading published research, with AUC scores of 0.945 for mortality and 0.881/0.889 for ICU stays.
