About Luke Mitchell

I’m a BSBA candidate at Washington University in St. Louis’s Olin Business School (Class of 2029), pursuing a double major in Economics & Strategy and Philosophy. I’m deeply interested in how analytical thinking, ethics, and strategic decision-making intersect to drive meaningful impact within organizations and communities.My background combines leadership, mentorship, and service. As Head Lifeguard at Ardsley Country Club and a Teaching Assistant for my high school classics department, I developed strong skills in communication, coordination, and teamwork. Yet, my most formative experiences came through volunteering with the homeless in New York City and the elderly in my hometown, where I gained a lasting appreciation for the value of empathy and human connection in an increasingly automated world.At WashU, I’ve continued to explore this balance between strategy and service through my involvement with Phi Gamma Nu and the Healthcare Consulting Club. These experiences have shown me that the principles of human connection—collaboration, understanding, and shared purpose—are just as vital in the professional world as they are in community work.Whether through business, education, or service, I strive to make a positive, measurable difference in the communities I’m part of and to bring a people-centered perspective to every challenge I take on.
