After nearly a decade of honing my skills in high-level cabinetry, I felt it was time to broaden my horizons and delve into the specialist finishing industry areas that had previously eluded me. With a solid foundation in my craft and a robust support network of makers, I established Luke Black Ltd.This venture allowed me to explore new materials and techniques, grow as a craftsman, and develop my unique artistic style. By experimenting with various finishes and combining multiple disciplines, I created distinctive offerings for the interior and furniture design markets. Integrating the new techniques I acquired with the skills from my previous roles enabled me to forge unique and artistic creations. As a result, Luke Black Ltd has become a versatile company, providing clients with traditional finishes, modern lacquering effects, and surfaces that blend my 20 years of experience in the luxury finishing industry.Our reputation has grown particularly around our use of cracked gesso and Liquid Metal finishes, which we have pushed in novel and exciting directions. We\'ve worked on remarkable projects globally, partnering with some of the most esteemed furniture manufacturers and interior design firms in the industry.I take immense pride in the quality we deliver to our clients, leading a team as passionate about their craft as I am.
