As the Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast U.S. at Mips, a global leader in helmet safety technology, I bring Mips’ science-based innovation to safety professionals, distributors, and end users; working to reduce rotational motion injuries through advanced helmet design.With a background in human biology from NC State and real-world experience in healthcare, I bring a unique perspective to the world of PPE. Prior to joining Mips, I built a successful career in industrial sales and national account management, particularly in the aggregate sector, managing large distribution accounts and solving safety challenges in high-risk environments.I’m also a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, fuelling my personal passion for head protection and adds an authentic connection to the mission I support every day. The goal is to improve head protection by reducing harmful rotational motion caused by an angled impact from a worker falling or being struck by a falling object. We have done the research. We have the data. Studies show that in the majority of cases when a person falls their head hits the ground at an angled impact. The same applies when a collision or contact with an object occurs. These scenarios are more likely to happen in high-risk professions, including on construction sites. These angled impacts can cause harmful rotational motion to the head.
