GRAIL is a healthcare company whose mission is to detect cancer early, when it can be cured. This is achieved using the power of next-generation sequencing (NGS), population-scale clinical studies, and state-of-the-art computer science to develop multi-cancer early detection blood tests. As a senior engineer in technical operations, I lead projects related to the development, implementation, and utilization of analytical tools for process monitoring at the largest GRAIL NGS laboratory. When irregularities in sequencing metrics arise, I act as the primary subject matter expert for identifying the root cause of these events and initiate process improvement projects to address these issues. In addition to these responsibilities, I also provide regular analytical support to assist other teams in evaluating the impact of their efforts on laboratory performance.
