About Luke Scarano
As a chemist, I enjoy solving problems. As an extrovert, I enjoy connecting with people. I combine these passions working in the regulatory science space. I graduated from William & Mary in May 2021 with a B.S. in Chemistry. As a William & Mary student I spent my four years there sharpening my work ethic and critical thinking skills through diverse coursework. Through my work as an undergraduate researcher in an organic synthesis laboratory I gained familiarity with the high-level chemistry topics. At the bench I honed analytical, adaptive problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. In my early career, I have been learning more about the regulatory and technical issues related to chemical products. I have developed working knowledge of EPA’s new TSCA implementation, product stewardship & advocacy, and science-based risk assessment of chemicals. As a regulatory consultant, I am utilizing my current knowledge and growing my expertise on regulatory and scientific affairs to help clients on a variety of issues.
