As the Clinical Director, I am tasked with overseeing our MSW counseling internship program, and providing clinical and EMDR supervision to the license-eligible members of our counseling team; I am also in the process of applying for a POCA license so that we can open a free, long-term trauma-informed therapy clinic for our Husky-eligible and low-to-no-income short-term crisis counseling clients, so that they can access therapy after graduating from our crisis counseling services. Once the clinic opens, I will be seeing a caseload of clients, will oversee day-to-day operations within the clinic, and will provide clinical oversight to all interns and therapists providing direct services to Clinic clients.

ABOUT LUKE ROBBINS
Clinical Director for the Rowan Center, the sexual violence crisis center based in Stamford but serving Greenwich, Stamford, New Canaan, Darien, Norwalk, Wilton, Westport, and Weston. After serving as the Director of Counseling and the Chief Operating Officer, I am now responsible for managing our agency\'s brand-new DPH-licensed POCA (Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic for Adults) Clinic here in Connecticut, which officially opened on July 1 of 2024. In that role I serve clients and run the clinic day-to-day, provide clinical supervision to the LMSWs on staff pursuing their LCSWs, and to the members of staff who are Basic Trained in EMDR. I also restarted the MSW internship program in the Fall of 2020, and have the pleasure of serving as the Internship Supervisor for 3-4-MSW interns per academic year, providing weekly individual and group supervision.I am also a clinician in private practice with my own practice, Luke Robbins Counseling, LLC. I offer in-person services in Connecticut, and remote/virtual services in Connecticut, Indiana, and Maine.I am passionate about EMDR, and am a Certified EMDR Provider, an EMDRIA-approved Consultant, and a TR-HAP Accredited EMDR Facilitator.I serve as a board member and pro bono consultant for G-MARC, the first-of-its-kind safe house and crisis center for child victims of sexual violence in the Uasin Gishu province of Kenya. They do incredible work providing short-term safe housing for child victims of sexual violence, and ongoing counseling, community education, and advocacy services.
