About Luke R. Johnson
I am from Freeport, Bahamas, with a PhD and MSE in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a BE in Chemical Engineering from Youngstown State University. I completed my studies at the University of Pennsylvania in summer 2021. I am competent in Python and have developing experience in R and SQL, with limited proficiency in Bash and Git/GitHub. Upon graduation, I wish to use my consulting experience, strong computer-oriented background, and problem-solving skills acquired in research to engage with clients: a. at the interface of the chemical processing and tech industries and b. improving the use of data analytics and visualization in engineering applications. As a secondary pursuit/interest, I have a strong desire to take the skills learned from teaching and research experience here at Penn to enhance chemical engineering education in the US and the Bahamas. These methods involve effectively using technology to enhance teaching efforts through the use of flipped classrooms and active learning.
