ABOUT LUKE PARNELL

With over 14 years of experience spanning critical care nursing, pharmacy utilization, managed care operations, and executive leadership, I bring a unique and comprehensive perspective to healthcare strategy and client services. I began my career as a Pediatric ICU nurse at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, where I developed deep clinical expertise in ECMO, CRRT, and advanced pediatric care, while also mentoring new nurses and leading as a charge nurse.Transitioning into managed care at Sedgwick, I applied my clinical knowledge to pharmacy utilization review and quickly advanced into leadership roles. As Clinical Liaison and later Client Services Director, I led training initiatives, developed internal workflows, and served as a strategic partner to clients—delivering impactful presentations and driving program improvements.In my most recent leadership roles, I’ve overseen national vendor relationships, managed cross-functional teams, and led client strategy for some of Sedgwick’s top-ranked accounts. As Assistant Vice President of Networks, I now lead multiple teams across Vendor Management, Accounts Receivable, and Certified State Networks—ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment across our network services.I’m passionate about building high-performing teams, optimizing healthcare delivery systems, and creating value-driven partnerships.
