ABOUT LUKE MILNER
I am an experienced journalist with a background in both print and online media, centred primarily on business intelligence. For more than three years I have been focused on developments in the petrochemical industry. Since October 2017 I have been working as an associate editor at S&P Global Platts where I have been focusing on the European butadiene and methanol markets, the Turkish and African polymers markets and plastics recycling in Europe. As well as writing weekly price reports and breaking industry news, I frequently write focus pieces, analysing market developments. I also regularly take part in podcasts and videos as both interviewer and interviewee. Additionally, I actively participate in conferences, with experience both chairing and speaking at conferences, as well as reporting directly from conferences and other industry events. Earlier in my career I gained experience in business-to-business reporting at M-Brain, working across industries as varied as shipping and healthcare, construction, banking and fashion, with a focus on Italy, French-speaking markets and Brazil. As well as communicating fluently in English, French and Italian, I have a strong working knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese, developed during a three-month stay in South America, where I worked as a contributing reporter at The Rio Times, writing political and social events of local and national significance.
