About Luke MacKenzie
As a Partner at a blue-chip professional services firm, I am a leader and change initiator with 25 years of experience in metals and mining. I currently lead Hatch\'s metals business in the US, working closely with our sector MDs to coordinate client engagement, business development and project delivery across all commodities and critical minerals, including copper, gold, lithium, rare earths, phosphates, aluminum, and iron & steel. Originally specializing in recycling, casting, rolling and finishing of aluminum, I have personally managed numerous due diligence studies, process studies, and project audits. I have also delivered concept and pre-feasibility studies of major ferrous and non-ferrous industrial facilities valued up to $5B in Europe and North America. I joined Hatch in Montreal in 2012, transferred to Pittsburgh in 2015, and have also lived and worked in the United Kingdom and Luxembourg. With a PhD and an MBA, I am comfortable supporting all major stakeholders in the project development lifecycle, including owners, investors, banks, senior management, and operations. My deep knowledge of process technologies, coupled with delivery and client engagement skills, makes me comfortable in consulting, project management, and business development.
