Psychiatric Technician• Help patients learn emotional regulation skills by leading psychoeducation groups based on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills building. o Build long-term relationships with patients and use information to offer additional insight to the physician when requested. o Direct patients to higher levels of authority as needed to ensure qualified response to needs. • Employ body of knowledge gained through non-violent crisis intervention training to observe, mitigate, and intervene in escalated or dysregulated behaviors including physical holds, coordinating emergency services, and rebuilding therapeutic rapport.
