WORK HISTORY
Propulsion Engineer Intern @Liquid Rocketry Lab
Houston, TX, US
Owned the end to end development of our motor valve model: Modeling and simulation of motor actuated valves approaching the circuit level. Extensive HIL testing for model development and validation. Currently redeploying my model in C++ for integration to the Trick simulation framework. Designed and 3D printed jigs for inspection and assembly improvement of motor valve components. Ambient and cryogenic valve tests. Empirically optimized PID gains for low level control systems (lowest level of digital control) while simultaneous trialing new search algorithms and cost functions (in my model offering rapid iteration) to replace the labview tuning algorithm. Implemented a new search algorithm with our existing cost function in Labview and validated with HIL testing of EMAsReplaced test stand throttling motor valves: built electrical harnessing, coordinated welding, assembled fittings, completed final control system tuning. Assisted in Cryogenic test stand buildup and testing, and hot fire tests.
