Our flagship product, the Resense Register, is a dementia-friendly newspaper designed to elicit long-term memories, promote cognitive stimulation, and foster meaningful social interactions.Our Mission:At Resense, we understand the profound impact that routine and familiar activities can have on individuals with dementia. Inspired by the sensory experience of reading a daily newspaper, we created the Resense Register to replicate this comforting routine. Our newspaper features large-font articles on nostalgic and historical topics, classic puzzles, and positive news, all tailored to the needs of seniors.Why We Do What We Do:The idea for the Resense Register was born from our visits to care communities, where we observed a significant need for accessible and engaging reading material. Many individuals missed the simple pleasure of opening a newspaper each day. By addressing this need, we aim to decrease agitation, restlessness, and aggression, while enhancing emotional well-being and cognitive function.Our Approach:Timeless Content: Our articles focus on nostalgic topics and historical events, designed to trigger fond memories and stimulate discussions.Accessible Design: We use large fonts and simple layouts to ensure readability and reduce frustration.Cognitive Engagement: Our puzzles, including crosswords and word searches, are crafted to provide mental stimulation and cater to various cognitive levels.Impact and Recognition:Since its launch, the Resense Register has been positively received in over 400 care communities. It has proven to be a versatile tool, used both as an individual pastime and in group activities, fostering a sense of routine and community among residents.
