ABOUT LUKÁŠ ŠURÍN

Current working in Sandoz International as Compliance Risk Assessment Manager.Previously I worked as a Compliance & AML Specialist in Slovenska Sporitelna, where I was mainly responsible for implementation of legislative and other regulatory requirements, drafting methodological work instructions and guidelines and actively participated in protecting the bank against money laundering and terrorism financing. Besides above mentioned, I occupy myself with EU, UN & US sanction regimes, product risk assessment and business relationship assessment with subsequent application of appropriate measures as well as reporting for local, group and regulatory purposes.In addition, I have been lecturing and publishing since 2013. Besides regularly delivering lectures at conferences, I also have the experience with leading professional seminars.I spent 3 years as a lawyer for DG Housing policy and urban development. My main responsibilities were drafting and commenting legislation, elaborating policy concepts and policies. Furthermore, I was part of the team dealing with housing issues and challenges on behalf of the Slovak republic within European Union and member of our DG\'s SK PRES team.My previous work experience included not only internship at the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic, but also paralegal position in private law office during studies.Besides law I was always interested in IT, web-design, computers & hardware and technologies. Nowadays I make my best to watch new trends on internet and consumer law, e-marketing and e-commerce, payments, internet anonymity as well as consequence of such technologies in real world.In the meantime I improved my professional language skills in French and obtained non-general language certificate DFP Diplomatie et Relations internationales B1.
