ABOUT LUKAS S. FIEDLER

Senior Consultant in Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at SLK Klinikum Gesundbrunnen in Heilbronn, Germany, and affiliated with the Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University. He graduated from the Medical University of Graz, Austria, and completed his specialist training in ENT and Head and Neck Surgery at Klinikum Mutterhaus der Borromäerinnen in Trier and at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE).He further specialized through an EAFPS fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, and holds certification in plastic and aesthetic surgery by the German Board. His clinical and surgical focus includes aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty, cosmetic facial surgery, and advanced reconstructive procedures, including nasal and auricular reconstruction, dermato-oncologic reconstruction, and anterior skull base surgery.Dr. Fiedler holds a doctoral degree from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and an MBA in Healthcare Management from London South Bank University. His academic work focuses on the integration of artificial intelligence into reconstructive surgery and clinical decision support, particularly in perfusion monitoring of reconstructive flaps (AITICA project), which forms the basis of his habilitation at Heidelberg University. He has presented his work at multiple international conferences and is actively engaged in translational research at the interface of surgery, artificial intelligence, and clinical innovation.He is a member of the German Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
