About Luka Sharoian

I’m a sophomore at Manhattanville University from Tbilisi, Georgia, majoring in a Bachelor of Science in Finance. When I was 18, I started my own marketing agency, helping realtors secure qualified appointments through social media ads and close more deals. I initially struggled with sales calls, especially when pitching to professional realtors. Despite presenting numerous benefits, I faced challenges signing them up for my services. It took me over a year of practicing my tonality, studying sales techniques, improving my slide decks, and conducting up to 100 Zoom sales calls before I enrolled my first client. Within a month and a half of working with him, I exceeded expectations, securing 19 qualified appointments. Over the following year, I expanded my client base to eight states and trained and hired three inside sales agents. However, in 2024 social media ads became increasingly saturated, reducing my profit margins. Recognizing these challenges, I decided it was best to close my marketing agency. Later that summer, I launched a window-washing company, generating clients through door-to-door sales. I grew the business to in monthly revenue. However, I soon realized that this business model wasn’t sustainable year-round. I also recognized that, up to that point, I had only pursued ventures based on opportunities I encountered in my daily life. I realized that to create something truly meaningful, I needed to grow, expand my knowledge, and challenge myself. That’s when I decided to pursue a career in investment banking. I aspire to become an investment banker because I want to work with large companies, understand how they operate, and learn from people who are further along in their careers. Even though I made this decision later than some, I’m determined to achieve it. My past experiences overcoming challenges have shown me that I have the resilience to succeed. Aside from my professional aspirations, I enjoy making espresso, training in Muay Thai, exploring new places, and learning more about human behavior and psychology.
