   As the CEO of GranBio in the United States, I am excited with the opportunity to keep the company\'s history of driving innovative solutions for net zero biofuels, biochemicals and advanced biomaterials. GranBio has developed one of the world\'s largest portfolios of renewable technologies and is dedicated to enabling the low carbon energy transition. We have pioneered two of the world\'s largest waste biomass commercial and integrated-pilot biorefineries, and are investing in the first state-of-the-art model plant to convert biomass into SAF - Sustainable Aviation Fuel. Our one-of-a kind model plant will supply net zero GHG emission SAF to the global aviation industry, and will become our base to scale our production up to commercial scale plants. We are proud to have the US Department of Energy - DOE - support through a $100M grant to help finance our first production scale plant, after a exhaustive due diligence on our AVAP technology ( American Value Added Pulp ). GranBio is a leading global sustainable biorefinery player with a patent portfolio worth $2 billion dollar. We are proud of our partnership with Honeywell UOP which will use their ETJ - Ethanol-to-Jet - Technology to convert GranBio\'s second generation ethanol into SAF. GranBio\'s plan is to rollout 10+ commercial scale plants, producing an aggregate up to 1 billion gallons/year of SAF by 2040, with first production starting in 2027.
