Part of the Manufacturing Process Simulation (MPS) and Effect of Defects (EoD) composites team, within the Advanced Numerical Simulation group. Currently involved in a variety of activities, such as:• Actively leading and contributing to two distinct work packages within an ATI-funded programme. The work involves developing suitable test plans and physics-based modelling capabilities to represent both pristine and defective material behaviour at coupon- and wing-scales.• Providing direct support at the material and assembly levels across multiple aircraft programmes - addressing the potential consequences of defects when sizing components, defining composite part acceptance criteria, and appropriately handling concessions. Primarily focused on method development through virtual testing.• Responsible for facilitating and engaging in interactions with universities, generally aimed at advancing the understanding of computational modelling in composite mechanics. Focal point for material model development at large-scales with embedded defects.• Additional responsibilities include back-end code development and corresponding computational treatment for process simulation analysis, applied to model preparation of component-level parts.
