As Faculty, I\'m responsible for the recruitment, training, and strategic development of a select cohort of 22 undergraduate and graduate students, preparing for Model ICAO. My role consists of fostering expertise in international diplomacy, negotiation tactics, and speechwriting in English, while ensuring a deep understanding of ICAO and UN protocols. Additionally, I oversee the delegation’s fundraising initiatives, securing resources to facilitate participation, and manage its communications strategy and public engagement, enhancing its visibility within academic and professional circles.

ABOUT LUIS F. AMAND
Ambitious, driven, and extroverted, I am currently completing my third year in Political Science at Université de Montréal. Throughout my studies, I’ve cultivated a deep passion for international relations, diplomacy, foreign policy and global security. To deepen my understanding of such issues, I have actively participated in renowned diplomatic simulations such as the National Model United Nations in New York, the National Model African Union in Washington, and the Model International Civil Aviation Organization in Montreal. Today, I am honoured to serve, for a second year, as Faculty Advisor for Université de Montréal’s first official delegation to Model ICAO, where I mentor and guide future diplomats through the complexities of international diplomacy.
