Currently serving as Chief Investment Officer for the Americas and Deputy CEO of EFG Asset Management (Americas), Luis leads EFG’s investment strategy and advisory platform across the United States, Switzerland, Caribbean, and Latin America.As Head of the Investment Strategy Group at EFG Capital in the United States, Luis oversees the design and implementation of tactical and strategic asset allocation frameworks, develops high-conviction investment themes, selects and monitors external managers, and evaluates portfolio performance across a wide spectrum of global client mandates.In his role as Deputy CEO of the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) in Miami, Luis works in partnership with the CEO to define strategic direction, drive platform innovation, and expand cross-border advisory capabilities—particularly for Latin American clients investing globally.His previous roles include Client Relationship Officer at EFG Bank in The Bahamas, Vice President at Delta National Bank and Trust Company in New York, and Portfolio Manager of equity mutual funds at Banco Alfa de Investimento S.A. in Brazil.Luis is a registered FINRA representative and a firm believer in comprehensive financial planning as the foundation of investment success. He focuses on aligning risk-adjusted returns with client-specific cash flow goals and legacy objectives. With a global mindset and regional expertise, he constructs portfolios across public and private markets, including equities, fixed income, hedge funds, structured products, private equity, private credit, real estate, and commodities.
