ABOUT LUIS VEGA

As a data engineer, I am driven by my mission to help other professionals and companies fulfill their data needs and leverage their data using the technology stack that best fits their needs. I have a deep technical understanding of data engineering and a passion for team development and corporate structures. I try to bring innovation to these topics in my work, and my colleagues have recognized me for my communication skills, resilience, creativity, teamwork, decision-making, initiative, and adaptiveness to change. One of my proudest accomplishments in my career as a data engineer was leading the engineering team in a data warehouse migration to AWS Cloud. Over the course of more than a year, I managed over 330 data sources and navigated the constant evolution of the project with success. I am dedicated to my team\'s professional growth and always strive to create a positive work environment. During one-on-one meetings, I prepare case studies to understand how my team members perceive different scenarios and use that information to better guide them. I also focus on understanding each team member\'s goals and identifying areas for growth. This combination of technical expertise and people skills has made me a well-rounded and effective leader in my field. I enjoy working in a start-up environment and believe that big corporations can also foster an intrapreneurial spirit, making them just as exciting to work for. In addition to my passion for team development and corporate structures, I have experience working in both fully remote and on-site environments. This has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of the benefits and challenges of each and has piqued my interest in exploring the growth of these two ways of working and their combinations. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the world through food and sharing my experiences as a Local Guide Level 5 in Google Maps. I\'m also an active contributor on Github with my repository at \"https://github.com/lvega-github\" and hold some AWS Certificates. I am excited to continue my career in data engineering and bring my skills and experience to a new challenge.
