Luisa MARQUARDT (1956, MEd, MLis, Me-L; UNESCO Diploma in Information Literacy, etc.) has taught Library and Information Science at Roma Tre University (Dept. of Education since AY 2002-03; Dept. of Humanities since AY 2016-17), in Rome, Italy. Chartered librarian for over 20 years in charge of the County Council of Rome. Professionally involved in school libraries, school librarianship and information literacy since late ’70s. Translator of the IFLA-UNESCO School Library Manifesto; editor of the It.ed. of the IFLA Guidelines for school libraries (1995, 1998, 2004, 2015); library consultant for CASPUR, FORMEZ and the Goethe-Institut Italien. Responsible of the “Biblioteca Statuario” (http://bibliostatuario.wordpress.com). Member of several associations (AIB, ABEI, AIDA, CNBA, IASL, IFLA, LAG Schulbibliotheken) and groups (e.g, ENSIL, currently a Foundation), and currently:• Director Europe for IASL 20••••16 Elected Member of the IFLA School Libraries Resource Centers Section (2017-21).• Member of the IASL-IFLA Joint Steering Committee.Recipient of the IASL Award for School Librarianship (2008).Among her latest works: IFLA Publication N. 148, co-edited with Dr Dianne Oberg (UniAlberta, Canada): Global Perspectives on School Libraries.
