I didn’t grow up thinking I’d work in data, but once I discovered its power, I never looked back. From public relations major to analytics enthusiast, my journey has been shaped by curiosity and a love for turning messy information into meaningful insight.Hi, I’m Luisa Lopez, a senior at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Business Analytics with a minor in Information Systems. I didn’t start in data. In fact, I came to UC as a Public Relations major. But one semester in, I discovered a love for the way business and data work together to solve real problems.Since then, I’ve immersed myself in analytics, working with tools like Python, SQL, R, and SAP to bring structure and insight to complex challenges. My time as a Demand Planning Co-op at Bendix CVS and a consultant with Queen City Consulting taught me how to build forecasting models, automate reporting processes, and uncover trends that drive real business decisions. Whether I’m helping a client segment their customers or discovering patterns in rows of data at a hackathon, I’m in my element when using data to make things clearer, smarter, and more strategic.I’ve always been curious about multiple industries and roles, and rather than seeing that as a limitation, I see it as an opportunity. College has been a space for exploration, and I’ve intentionally taken on diverse experiences—from student leadership and orientation to fitness operations—to learn more about people, systems, and myself.As a former professional swimmer on the Colombian National Team, resilience is second nature to me. I thrive on challenge, welcome feedback, and stay motivated through both wins and setbacks. I\'m someone who grows through learning, adapts quickly, and genuinely wants to contribute to any team I’m part of.As I look toward graduation in 2026, I’m excited to continue combining my analytical skillset with my drive to make a meaningful impact.

   Collaborate in groups of 6 people to provide consulting services to Cincinnati’s business.• Follow an SoW provided by the client, focusing on the specific deliverables to present weekly updates of the project through PowerPoint slides. • Assemble relevant data and metrics, implementing methods such as frame-working to communicate clearly to the client the current state of the desired market to target. • Formulate solid and clear business strategies backed up by relevant data that focus on our client’s needs. • Perform industry market research to identify potential leads for our clients through surveys, calls, and database search.
