ABOUT LUIS VASQUEZ
I am a bilingual Clinical Rehabilitation Counselor with a background in counseling, research, program coordination, and community-based service. My professional focus centers on expanding access to mental health care through ethical, culturally responsive, and systems-informed approaches. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Scranton. My experience includes providing bilingual therapy to adolescents and adults, supporting homeless veterans through reintegration services, mentoring students pursuing healthcare careers, and leading public health research on artificial intelligence and mental health policy. In addition to my clinical and research work, I am the creator of TheraBridge, an AI-powered multilingual therapeutic translation and emotional insight platform designed to support care delivery in under-resourced and displaced communities. This initiative reflects my ongoing commitment to bridging technology with empathy and improving communication across cultural and linguistic boundaries. I strive to approach every role with professionalism, curiosity, and a deep respect for the individual and community experience. My work is guided by the belief that healing should be equitable, collaborative, and informed by both data and lived realities. I welcome opportunities to connect with professionals, researchers, and organizations working to advance mental health access, health equity, and innovative care models.
