ABOUT LUIS LOU POSADA

I have spent my 34-year career, dedicated to the betterment of healthcare facilities for everyperson who walks through their doors. I lead project efforts by validating programming and operationalassumptions while layering research and benchmarking data, along with trends in clinical care. I havefound that this approach promotes integrated team care among the staff and provides a safeenvironment for patients and/or residents which can be done in a non-institutional manner. I believe myefforts and process improve clinical outcomes and streamline staff efficiencies.The approach I take at the start of each project creates the foundation for my client/partners andclinical team members. These processes, documented during the functional programming phase,becomes the guide by which every decision is weighed against throughout the project, and then, theoperational manuals that become the backbone during the activation phase, when the clinical teamsstart to practice “day in the life” scenarios in the new department.Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to take a path which allowed me to be a part ofnumerous “once in a lifetime” projects. These projects challenged me and provided opportunity forcontinuous growth, expanding my roles and providing leadership positions in projects which have hadimpact in the healthcare world. My part in this work established me as a knowledge leader inhealthcare planning and design by public and private healthcare clients. My goal is to bring theseexperiences and knowledge to more clients, while mentoring the next generations of healthcare designprofessionals.PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
