ABOUT LUÍS HENRIQUE STRUBE

I am a mechanical engineer with a solid experience in the oil & gas subsea industry. Doing engineering work within the subsea environment is a challenge I\'m passionate about. Along my career, I had the opportunity to review and approve product designs, from the 3D model to the technical drawings, as well as writing and checking assembly and test procedures. It is safe to say I have familiarity with mechanical and petroleum industry standards, having accumulated both practical experience and knowledge during the years. Also the interaction with the many people involved in the execution of the project helped me to develop this expertise - from procurement, planning and project management to the shop floor with all the manufacturing, assembly and testing activities. Working with projects allowed me to lead design teams, coordinate activities and schedules, make design review presentations and attend meetings with customers. Keeping the deadlines while also delivering quality work adds another dimension to the job, one that makes it even more gratifying when the equipment is successfully installed subsea. As an engineering group leader, I had the opportunity to manage a team of engineers while still holding the technical responsibility over the project. While setting priorities and managing resources, I found it satisfying to care for the professional development of the team members. It\'s being a rewarding journey of working with the engineering of products that shall work for 20+ years in extreme conditions, under pressure from the water depth and subject to corrosion by the sea water while assuring the oil and gas within keep flowing.
