About Luis Guevara-Flores
PhD student at NYU’s Institute of Fine Arts, with a BA in Art History and Latin American Studies from Yale. My work centers on national museum reform and Indigenous art, language, and traditions of Latin America, both ancient and contemporary, with further research in comparative Global South contexts (including South Africa and East Asia). I’ve held roles at the National Museum of Anthropology (Mexico), Smithsonian Center for Folklife, Yale University Art Gallery, and the Mexican Embassy in Japan.
